Books:

1. This first one is my personal favourite, ‘The Murder of Roger Ackroyd’ by Agatha Christie.

It is perfect for ages 9 - 12, though maybe closer to 10 - 12 because of some language and tricky vocabulary.

2. This is also one of the best books I’ve read off of my school reading list, ‘A Strange Kind of Brave’  by Sarah Moore Fitzgerald. A very interesting book, also a sort of murder mystery.

3. ‘The Giver’ by Lois Lowry is also a great book. I have just recently finished reading it at school, and it is really worth reading. It’s hard to describe, but all I can say is to read it. It is part of a quartet, and I am waiting to get the second book.

4. I really love Agatha Christie which is why I also recommend ‘Death on the Nile’. I’m currently reading it, and I love it. It’s similar to The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, and I would say it’s more 10 - 12 as well.

5. ‘The Girl of Ink and Stars’ is a great read. A perfect book if you’re bored, and it will keep you busy reading for as long as it needs to. I read it when I was nine and I would read it again.
